Gramercy Tavern

My favourite restaurant lived up to it’s reputation ( and saved mine ) when we celebrated my friend Leanne’s 50th birthday last weekend. Gramercy Tavern has a seasonal earthy menu, with beautifully presented dishes and excellent service. We shared an Heirloom Tomato Salad with Pickled Cherries to begin ( extraordinary combination, but the rich tomato flavour with the slightly soured cherries was superb ) then I had the Summer Flounder with an almond pepper sauce. But the piece de resistance was the Smoked Kiebasa ( made on the premises ) with collard greens, spaetzle and beets. Outstanding! I caught this shot just in time….

I love listening to you on Rod’s show. I used to work in Maine and highly recommend you visit Camden while you are there. Hope you have a lovely trip.

As a fellow South Australian I have to tell you how much I enjoy listening to you on Rod’s show. I .went on a girls trip to NYC last year and four of us were lucky enough to be able to use an appartment leased by my brother and sister in law (a fellow Pt. Lincoln girl) on Central Park South which was an experience I will never forget the views were extrordinary. We went to Minetta Tavern and really enjoyed the whole experience. Spent two weeks and still feel it wasn’t long enough. Many thanks for your insight.
