Coffee – reliable sources

When we first arrived in NYC finding a good coffee was a real challenge. Almost invariable we had to ask for a double shot and half the milk, but times have changed. Now there are lots of new cafes with decent coffee and you can leave home with confidence. Here are a few favorites…

Eataly – entrance on 5th ave near 23rd street, opposite Madison Park in front of the Flatiron.

D’espresso – on Stanton in the East Village

Bouchon in the Time Warner Center ( they have a cafe & a restaurant on level 3 )

Chelsea Markets – Ronnybrook Dairy

Frankie’s on Clinton Street in the East Village
