Just found this cafe – actually it’s a chocolate place that does great coffee, in 20th street between Broadway & 5th. It’s not trendy at all – there’s not a tattooed forearm in sight and definitely no ‘buzz’, but they have very superior cakes and the coffee was excellent when we called in last week. We used to go to The Bakery around the corner on 18th street, who have the most amazing and unique pretzel croissants in the world, but their coffee is too inconsistent and they serve it in thick-lipped mugs. Never a good sign….
